If its your first visit to receive kinesiology and you’re not sure what to expect, here are some Q&A’s to help answer some of your questions.
What is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a practice that works with the energetic systems of the body (meridians, nadis, chakras). We use muscle biofeedback to find where they may be stress occurring in your body systems, and then remediate it with a variety of tools and protocols.
Whats involved?
You will bring an issue that you have going on in your life.
We are happy to work with a variety of concerns; physical, emotional, social or metaphysical.. theres nothing we can’t work with!
You will be laying down, and the practitioner will use the muscle tests to identify and find solutions for dissipating stress in the body systems.
Some sessions may involve a lot of testing arm and leg muscles.
Some may involve more talking and exploring emotions and symptoms.
Each session is different and we are very much guided by the muscular feedback as to what is required.
What are the muscle tests telling you?
Our brains have different parts. Just as we don’t consciously control our heart beat, we sometimes aren’t consciously aware of issues that the body is holding. The body has an innate intelligence and these muscle tests tell us where there is stress relating to your issue, and also guides the practitioner on what tools it would like to help resolve that stress.
How do I know if its worked?
The results of kinesiology can be varied depending on what we’re working on. Sometimes you may feel physical changes and dissolved pain. Other times it can be extremely subtle, like a difference in mental chatter or a varied response to a triggering stimuli. Patients almost always leave feeling lighter and less hindered by their concerns.
Whats the difference between neuro-energetic kinesiology and other types?
The training I’ve received is from the work of Hugo Tobar.
Since Applied Kinesiology (AK) was developed, in the 1960’s by Goodheart, several branches or streams have been developed. The type of kinesiology we practice is neuro-emotional and consciousness-bridging branches of AK.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, you just need to bring yourself.
